Our founders are different in every way, except for one: they are both passionate about chess. Grand Master Champion Susan Polgar and Chess NYC Founder Michael Propper take an opposite approach to the game but adore each other's style.

Play N' Go™ Online Chess Events FAQ

Common inquiries about gameplay and membership.

US Chess Federation memberships are valid for one or two years from the date they are registered for. They're required for all rated chess play in the USA, and you can register for your membership here!

Yes! All competitors must have a USCF membership in order to play.

If you have not received our confirmation emails in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder. Once located, kindly mark the sender as safe or whitelist the email address to ensure future correspondence is delivered directly to your inbox.

Our launch event is May 25th at 4:00 PM EST, we'll have qualifiers beforehand, and following that we'll have regularly scheduled events every week!

Our tried and true tournament format is sections of four players playing three rounds, one game against each other player in the section. Our time control is G20, 20 minutes for each player, so our average event length is just 90 minutes!

Players are paired into sections of four based on their USCF rating. The four highest rated players form the first section, then the next four highest rated players become the second section and so on. If the total number of players doesn't evenly go into fours, the last section will have a Swiss format.

First time players will be paired in events on the basis of their USCF rating.

Ad Finem! All games on Play N’ Go™ Online Chess are played to the end. There are no draws or resignations. A game of chess can turn on a dime, and by playing out each game, players.

Head to the "Events" page listed on the top ribbon of the homepage to see a full listing of upcoming online events! To book your seat, click the "View Details" button to go to the event's page, and click the "Book Now" button to proceed with your purchase!

When the tournament is close to starting, click to "My Tournaments" page on the top ribbon, and hit the "Join Now" button event to get started!

Hang tight and wait for the first round to start! Pairings are made and matches start automatically at the scheduled start time for each event, and every round will begin shortly after every game during a round in a section is finished.
