New to ChessNYC™? Start here.

Chess NYC programs are open to students of all ages, 4 to 104! Some programs, like camps and after school programs are restricted to scholastic age students, but we support adult play our competitions and have adult oriented sessions as well!

We allow full cancellations with greater than 24 hours notice with options for rebooking, store credit, or refunding your order. We try to be flexible within reason too, like if a participant is sick on a given day.

Chess NYC offers financial aid for all group programs, applications can be sent to info@chessnyc.com and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

No experience is no problem! Programs are grouped by age and skill level, so complete beginners and experienced players are all matched up correctly. For Play N' Go events, a grasp of the fundamentals is necessary to play.

Our flagship location is Village Chess @ SoHo located at 108 Wooster St., and we also run extended programming at PS 183, as well as Saturday school year Play N' Go at PS 267. Plus! We enjoy afterschool programs at 40+ schools citywide!
